TIME TO MOURN; A TIME TO HEAL"

Where: St. Stephen, Martyr Catholic Church,

Details: This is a Bereavement Support Group for
those mourning the death of a loved one. Eight-week program. Join
us as we journey towards healing within the Body of Christ. One need not
be a member of St. Stephen's to attend. The Group is limited to 12

Shine” Catholic Retreatoree

Where: Pipsico Scout Reservation Camp Lions, Spring
Grove, Va.
Details: This event combines Boy Scout and Girl
Scout activities, Saturday morning Mass, Reconciliation and Saturday
vigil Mass. Cost is $30.00 per person registration fee.
Deadline for registration no later than August 31,
2010, however, early registration is encouraged at a deposit of
$5.00 per person. For more information and registration forms,

Christian Formation Kickoff Mass and Barbecue
When: September 19 at 5:00 PM
Where: Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane,
Portsmouth, VA 23703
Details: We will be having a kickoff Mass to celebrate
the beginning of the new school year for our Children and Youth
Formation Programs. Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 PM. At this
Mass, we will recognize and bless all of our catechists for the coming
Formation year. Immediately following Mass, there will be a barbecue
with food and games. Families with children and teens are especially
encouraged to attend. In order that we may prepare enough food,

Lady of Victory Alumni Association Reunion Banquet and Dance

Where: Sandbar Club, Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth
Details: Our Lady of Victory Alumni Association
invites all former parishioners, alumni, and friends of Our Lady of
Victory Catholic Church and School to attend the Alumni Association's
Reunion Banquet and Dance. Guest speakers include Alumni Monsignor
Thomas Hadden and Janice Davis Satterthwaite. Tickets are $45 each and

Virginia Catholic Youth Day
2010
When: 2 October
Where: Busch Gardens
Details: The Office of Youth Ministry of the Catholic
Diocese of Richmond, along with the Diocese of Arlington, will be
holding this event. All families are invited to attend this event.
Sunday Vigil Mass will be celebrated at Busch Gardens. There will also
be an all-you-caneat dinner of BBQ, fried chicken, hot dogs, chips,
vegetable, dessert, and soft drinks. A vegetarian option is available
for those who request it. The cost of the event is as follows:
Allinclusive ($55 per individual) covers admission to the park,
including Howl-O-Scream, and All-You-Can-Eat Dinner Buffet; Single-Day
Admission ($48 per individual) covers admission to the park (including
Howl-O-Scream); or Buffet ONLY ($12.50 per individual) for season pass
